To support and inspire the next generation of building science educators, SBSE is pleased to offer scholarships to students and to developing-country faculty who are interested in the teaching of building science (or a closely related academic area).
SBSE offers a range of scholarships to a variety of venues (including the annual SBSE Retreat and the PLEA conference) during each calendar year. Scholarships are listed below on this page once approved by the SBSE Board of Directors.
These scholarships—up to six at $700 each, funded through sales of the Sun Angle Calculator—are intended to provide support for students with a keen interest in pursuing a future teaching position in environmental control systems or a closely related area of building science. The scholarships are aimed at graduate students with prior experience as a teaching assistant in an environmental control systems (building science) course. Application and Scholarship Details
In honor of the late Jeffrey Cook, this scholarship is offered to a faculty member from a developing country to help defray the costs of attending the SBSE retreat.
