You can walk from the Ashurst New Forest train station to the retreat at Ashurst Lodge--see pink highlight below. The walk passes the local pub, goes through a meadow and campground, transits Ashurst Wood, and arrives at Ashurst lodge.

Google Earth allows you to zoom in on the path to the retreat. We plan to have student hosts meet train travelers at the Ashurst New Forest station and lead them to Ashurst Lodge or the local. Your choice!

ALTERNATE LODGING

If you choose to stay in Lyndhurst, you can walk or taxi to the retreat at Ashurst Lodge. If you choose to stay in Brockenhurst, you can take the hourly train service to the retreat (Ashurst New Forest station and walk to Ashurst Lodge)... 

The New Forest is a National Park with good train service (see green icons below).

RETREAT CHECK-IN with the retreat organizers is between 1:00—5:00pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in the Chubut Building Lobby.
