GETTING THERE
RETREAT CHECK-IN is
begins at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2007, in the Chubut
Building at WIT.
For those traveling from
the Oxford Conference, which ends at 5:30pm on Wednesday, and
lodging at WIT, you will be given late arrival and check-in
instructions.

Up to 30 SBSEers can
stay on-site in the Madryn or Trevelyn Cottages. Housing for
SBSEers with family or friends is available in the nearby
towns of Ashurst and Lyndhurst. See "Where
to Stay" for details.
WIT is an easy 15 minute
walk (shown in pink highlight on map above) from the Ashurst New Forest train station if you walk
through the campground that's between the pub and WIT. It's a
bit longer if you stick to the road. The Ashurst New
Forest train station is very quiet, you'll probably have to
walk to the adjacent pub to hail a cab.
Unless you have an auto,
arriving at Ashurst New Forest by train is the best way to
travel. Tickets can be booked up to three months in advance
and picked up from the ticket
machines at the train stations. The
Trainline is a powerful way to find the best deals and
book your trip. You'll need to provide a UK address when you
register with the Trainline. If you have no other, use WIT's.
WIT gives detailed
travel advice for all modes of transportation on their web
site http://www.wessex.ac.uk/where/index.html
